There’s nothing like relaxing on a hot day, sipping cool and refreshing Mint Juleps. As the weather warms ups, it seems fitting that ‘National Mint Julep Day’ on May 30th is next week! This simple, yet classic cocktail has long been part of the Kentucky Derby tradition, however, I find this refreshing bourbon cocktail to be a great summertime staple long after the race is over. One of my favorite twists on this popular cocktail is to add bold flavors to bring out the fresh mint that everyone adores. For a subtle fruity taste, try our Blueberry Mint Julep or Southern Julep recipes. If you are looking for something more exotic, try our Yuzu Julep recipe with a citrus bite that will leave your palate quenched. Serve any of these up in the classic tin cup and garnish with mint to complete the look. Sip, relax and and celebrate ‘National Mint Julep Day’ all Summer long. Enjoy! - Angela
