"Pomegranate is a floral sweet. It mixes well with cranberry that stands perfectly alone. It works well with chocolate and mocha. Tonight I sautéed mushrooms and basted potatoes along with my mix of chili and seasoning salt for a steak dinner. So I'd say don't expect sweet with pomegranate. It's more of a vinaigrette taste. Used properly, it's a secret difference in many applications. For example, in mocha just a tiny amount is like caramel, but too much ruins it. Pomegranate can be magic at a barbecue. And, it's good in pancake mix."
