Great Product but Bad Container

"Product is great tasting and imparts an oak barrel/whiskey nuance to drinks in a nonalcoholic form. It’s wonderful in coffee, lemonade and iced tea. Definitely buying again. The container had a pinhole in the bottom where the plastic was heat sealed and it leaked. I sealed it with melted beeswax over the spot, but not until it leaked in my cabinet. Thank goodness it wasn’t sweetened and sticky. Cleaned just fine like it never leaked but still lost some of the product. Better QC by the bottle supplier is needed."

Didn’t measure up.

"Not very impressed, unfortunately. There is not a whole lot of oak barrel flavor here. We run a CoffeeHouse and wanted to feature the smoky drinks for fall, but this did not come up to our expectations. We stock over 30 Monin syrups and sauces, and most are excellent. This one just didn’t come up to Monin’s high standards in our estimation. Sorry. 😔"

Nice Variation to Old Fashioned Cocktail

"Can get a little bitter if you use too much but I find one pump in an old fashioned adds some great, smokey flavor. Very nice."

"Have not been able to figure out a use for this - the flavor is awful, even a few drops makes your drink bitter with a chemical aftertaste. Smells like rubbing alcohol."

"The flavor is hard to describe but it is wonderful with caramels & vanillas. It has kind of a robust dark bitterness that makes the other flavors kind of deeper but not sweeter. I almost want to say it has a smokiness to it. I love it!"
