With strawberries ripe for the pickin’ in Florida this time of year, there’s really no time like the present to top a fresh salad with strawberries. Recently we had some guests in our Clearwater culinary center, so we brought in some juicy red strawberries and a few perfectly ripe avocados and served this light and fresh field salad. After we assembled the salad, we wanted to add just a touch of spice, so we used Monin Strawberry Fruit Puree with some Sriracha in the homemade dressing. People have been raving about this dressing (and the salad we served) so in honor of the upcoming Florida Strawberry Festival and eating light for all of your Resolutions, we wanted to share the spicy strawberry vinaigrette recipe with you. Try it, and the sweet with the spicy and the texture of the poppy seeds is really a great combination. Oh – and if you have bacon crumbles and feta, we recommend topping the salad with those delicious nuggets! - Chad and Mark
