Monin Brilliance FAQ

Monin Brilliance is not an enhancement or addition to a drink like our Monin Energy Boost. It is a natural
caffeine concentrate that should be mixed with iced sparkling water to deliver a finished energy drink.

The entire Monin Brilliance range contains either sugar (Brilliance Flavored Natural Energy) or a sugar substitute
(Brilliance Sugar Free Energy), while Energy Boost does not contain sugar or sweeteners.

There are two natural caffeine sources in every Brilliance SKU:

• Green Coffee Extract: Sourced from unroasted coffee beans, this extract provides a natural caffeine kick and contains more antioxidants than roasted coffee beans.
• CoffeeBerry® Energy: A proprietary combination of organic caffeine and unique polyphenols derived from coffee cherries, the fruit that surrounds the coffee bean.

The other active ingredients in Monin Brilliance are the following:

• L-Theanine: L-Theanine is an amino acid found in green tea leaves that has been shown to promote relaxation and reduce stress, without causing drowsiness. When paired with energy ingredients, L-Theanine acts as a way to make the energy more focused and targeted. Scientists have suggested caffeine may bolster L-theanine’s impact on cognition (processing and understanding information) and working memory.
• Vitamin B12: Vitamin B12 is essential for proper brain health, supporting healthy red blood cells, and a
  well-functioning nervous system. It also plays a key role in energy production by helping metabolize fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. Because of this, maintaining proper B12 levels may increase energy.
• Guarana extract: Native to the Amazon, guarana seeds are packed with caffeine and thought to help combat fatigue and provide a natural energy lift.

Monin Brilliance is a natural caffeine concentrate. Its recommended use is to mix it into iced sparkling water. You can also add it to other beverages, although the bright color of each flavor may be affected by the color of the other ingredients.

Yes, you can certainly mix Monin Brilliance with other Monin flavorings. For more robust flavor or enhanced sweetness, simply add ¼ to ½ oz. of your favorite Monin Syrup to your iced energy drink. Monin Brilliance Glacier Clear can be mixed with any Monin Syrup to create any color energy drink.

Monin Brilliance is intended for creating cold and iced drinks only. It can also be used
in frozen applications and in bubblers.

Yes, you can make drinks using Monin Brilliance flavors with Total Immunity Boost or Hydration Boost.

The recommended recipe for this combination is:

1 oz Monin Brilliance + ½ oz Monin Total Immunity Boost OR Monin Hydration Boost + 5 oz Club Soda or Lemonade.

We recommend the following ratios for making energy drinks:

• To craft a 12 oz. energy drink, mix 1 oz. (2 pumps) of your preferred Monin Brilliance flavor into 5 oz. sparkling water over ice.
• To craft a 16 oz. energy drink, mix 1 oz. (2 pumps) of your preferred Monin Brilliance flavor into 7 oz. sparkling water over ice.
• To craft a 20 oz. energy drink, mix 1 ½ oz. (3 pumps) of your preferred Monin Brilliance flavor into 9 oz. sparkling water over ice.

To make a Monin Brilliance iced energy drink, pour a 50mL bottle (1.69 oz.) into a 20-oz. glass with ice and sparkling water. For more robust flavor or enhanced sweetness, you can add ¼ oz. to ½ oz. of your preferred Monin Syrup to your iced energy drink.

Monin Brilliance should not be mixed with hot drinks, milk or cream bases, or non-dairy milk bases. Monin Brilliance is best enjoyed mixed with iced sparkling water, although it can also be mixed into sodas, mocktails, cocktails, or iced teas.
