New-School Shakes

Chocolate milkshake garnished with a pretzeled rim, topped with whipped cream, caramel corn, cookie bits, cookies, and two gold striped straws.
We’re starting to feel a cool breeze when the sun sets, but the days are still long and warm. It’s back-to-school time again and you know what that means… bring on the shakes! Typically, this time of year reminds us to get back to the basics, however – not when it comes to milkshakes. The crazier, the better! Whether you refer to these sweet, sticky messes as “freak shakes” or “crazy shakes,” one sip and you’ll call ‘em your new favorite obsession. I recommend using whatever you have on-hand at home to decorate and let the kids go wild; cereal, marshmallows, baking sprinkles, potato chips. There are no rules when it comes to creating this new-school style of milkshake, but here are a few recipes to get you started. Enjoy! - Anne
