#1 Peel & All Paloma
The Peel & All Paloma is “all in” when it comes to sustainability and resourcefulness. This refreshing tequila cocktail uses Monin Agave Organic Nectar and all parts of the lime and grapefruit to maximize flavor and reduce waste. You can easily infuse citrus peels into spirits for their essential oils, create citrus stocks, dehydrate wheels or wedges for sustainable garnishes, or even candy them as a dessert.
To keep in theme with reducing waste, you could use an agave straw when sipping your Peel & All Paloma. Agave straws are made from bagasse, the dry fibrous material that remains after agave juice is extracted to use for tequila production. The bagasse can be used as a biofuel for producing heat or energy, as building materials, a flavor additive, or in textiles, fertilizer, paper goods, plates, utensils, and more.

#2 The Beekeeper
The Beekeeper is a nod to the power of pollinators, without whom we wouldn’t have many of our favorite fruits and vegetables! This delicious cocktail adds a lavender twist to a classic Bee’s Knees, pairing Monin Lavender Syrup and Honey Organic Sweetener with gin and fresh lemon juice.At Monin, we care deeply about protecting our pollinators. Our Syrup-to-Bees initiative sends overages of food-grade syrup from our Clearwater, Florida, and Sparks, Nevada, facilities to bee farmers nationwide. They use the syrup to feed bees during shortages of nectar-producing flowers. Since 2008, this initiative has fed hundreds of millions of bees, preserving fragile bee populations around the country.
More recently, Monin partnered with Bee Downtown to install an apiary at our Clearwater headquarters. The on-site Monin bees pollinate a three-mile radius from the hives, impacting 18,000 acres of surrounding local land. Monin employees also have unique opportunities to engage with bees, agriculture, their workplace, and each other through hive tours, honey tastings, beekeeping classes, and more.

#3 Bruised Banana Batida
The Bruised Banana Batida is a variation of a classic Batida (pronounced “bah-chee-dah”), which is Portuguese for “Milkshake.” It’s one of Brazil’s favorite drinks and our Bruised Banana Batida is made with Monin Passion Fruit Concentrated Flavor.
If you have bananas that look bruised or brown, don’t throw them out! There are several phases of the banana ripening process, and each offers a specific nutritional value. The browner and more bruised bananas are better for blending, as they are sweeter and contain a higher antioxidant level.
