Yuzu Matcha Tiramisu

Ingredients

  • 2 (8 ounce) containers mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup Monin Monin Yuzu Purée
  • 1 cup heavy cream - whipped to stiff peaks
  • 1 cup brewed matcha tea - chilled
  • 1/3 cup Monin Monin Yuzu Purée
  • 1/3 cup Japanese Whiskey
  • 60 ladyfingers
  • Matcha powder - as needed
  • Powdered sugar - as needed

Instructions

        Make the Cheese Filling:
      1. In a mixing bowl, gently mix the mascarpone cheese and yuzu purée together until well combined.
      2. Fold the whipped heavy cream into the cheese mixture in batches until fully incorporated.
      3. Cover the mixture and place in the refrigerator to chill until use.
        Build the Tiramisu:
      1. Place the matcha, yuzu purée, and whiskey into a mixing bowl and whisk until combined.
      2. Briefly submerge the ladyfingers, one by one, into the matcha mixture until soaked but not soggy and immediately place them in a single layer on the bottom of a glass 8” x 8 1/2” baking pan.
      3. Evenly spread 1/3 of the mascarpone cheese mixture over the first layer of soaked ladyfingers.
      4. Repeat with the remaining cookies and cheese until the tiramisu is three layers high.
      5. Sprinkle the top of the tiramisu with a light layer of matcha powder and powdered sugar.
      6. Cover and place into the fridge allowing to chill for at least 1 hour before serving.
