Savory Brown Butter Waffle

Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 cup Monin Brown Butter Syrup
  • 4 Tbsp. milk powder
  • 3 eggs
  • 4 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar
  • 2 Tbsp. chives
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder

Glass Size: 6 waffles.

Instructions

      1. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturers instructions.
      2. In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and baking soda.
      3. In another bowl beat together the syrup and the milk powder. Add remaining ingredients except the cheese, chives, and garlic powder and whisk until combined.
      4. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and stir just until combined then fold in the cheese, chives, and garlic. Allow to rest for 5 minutes.
      5. Spray the waffle iron with vegetable spray and ladle the batter onto the center of the iron. Cook until both sides are crispy.
      6. Serve immediately or keep warm in a 200° F oven until ready to serve.
