So Fresh & So Green
It’s very important to use the freshest herbs possible in cocktails and for garnishing purposes. Storing herbs properly will maintain the taste, aroma and appearance. Reserve the freshness of mint by trimming the ends of the stems and gently spreading the leaves. Place the stems upright in a glass or jar half filled with cool water (similarly to how you might preserve fresh flowers). Loosely cover with a plastic bag and store in the door or front part of the refrigerator until needed.
Short Tip
If the water is changed every other day, fresh mint may last up to 2 weeks using this method of storage.
