Brie & Pomegranate Pickled Onion Burger Recipe | Monin

According to a 2015 Fortune article, America’s restaurants and cafeterias served a total of 9 billion burgers in 2014, and that number has only moved upward since. Burgers of all shapes, size, proteins and ingredients are enjoyed by people all over the world, and very often the toppings are what really make your sandwich stack above the rest (pun intended). This is one of my favorite burger recipes, post-summer, because of its bold and hearty flavor. Its melted buttery brie paired with lightly charred pickled onions make for a perfectly satisfying patty. Speaking of pickling, that’s another fun hobby that is becoming pretty prevalent stateside. Especially in the culinary industry, the technique has been gaining traction ever since the rising popularity of food trucks. Simply put, pickling is an easy way to add a handcrafted component to any sandwich, and when topped on this gourmet burger it adds powerful flavor in every bite. - Mark
