Prepping In Advance

Batching cocktails is a great way to set up a larger quantity of beverages so you can do the minimum amount of assembly to get drinks to your guests. Here are some tips for batching drinks:

  1. Precision is Key: Exact measurements will give you a balanced and delicious batched cocktail, so you'll want to make sure you measure accurately
  2. What You Can Mix: You can generally mix liquors with liqueurs in advance, or fruit juices with other fruit juices, but do not combine any fruit juice with spirits until the day of your event.
  3. Don't Do Dairy: You should not batch any dairy items ahead of time as they're most likely to separate out over time.
  4. Bubbles Last: If you're batching anything that requires carbonation, such as soda or champagne, that should be held off until either just before the party or per cocktail.
