Strawberry Rose Compote

Ingredients

  • 1 - pint strawberries
  • quartered
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup MoninĀ® Strawberry Rose Syrup
  • Pinch salt

Instructions

      1- In a small sauce pot, combine all ingredients except for the syrup. 2- Set pot at medium-high heat until it boils, then continue to simmer until reduced by 2/3 and begins to thicken (about 7-8 minutes). 3- Once thickened, remove from heat and allow to cool for 3 minutes before adding in the syrup. 4- Mix in the syrup until well incorporated. 5- strFully cool the compote, transfer to a tightly sealed container and store in the refrigerator for future use.
