Chocolate Cherry Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup Monin Black Cherry Puree
  • 6 oz. semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp. cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

      1. In a microwave safe container, combine chocolate and whole milk and microwave for 2 minutes.
      2. While this is in the microwave, combine the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl and mix until well incorporated together.
      3. Mix the chocolate and the milk together until the chocolate is completely melted into the milk, microwave longer if needed.
      4. Combine the chocolate milk mixture with the cream mixture until well incorporated.
      5. Pour ice cream mixture into ice cream machine of choice and allow to run until the ice cream becomes extremely thick and solid (about 45 minutes).
      6. Transfer ice cream to a freezer safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving.
